Welcome

Project SEARCH is a program designed to support young people transitioning from educational settings by preparing them to successfully enter the workforce. The goal is that every intern is ready for employment upon graduation from the program.

There are Sedgwick County Project SEARCH sites in Wichita, Derby, and Maize.

Interns are placed in 3 targeted internships wherein they acquire transferable skills, all while being supported and coached by teachers, employers, and skills trainers.

In addition to empowering people with disabilities, the Project SEARCH program has the added benefit of creating a more diverse and inclusive environment at the organizations that host Project SEARCH interns.
